Booking a tattoo appointment is very simple. It’s always best to start off by emailing us. In the email include a description of the tattoo you would like to get done, how big you want the tattoo, the placement of the tattoo, and if you would like color or black and grey. 

Also attach any photo references that you may have. Once we have received the email, we can discuss the idea with our tattoo artists and contact you with a possible time and price quote along with any further instructions which may include coming in for a consult with the appropriate artist.

 For smaller simpler tattoos such as scripture or roman numerals/dates, we may be able to get you in as a walk-in depending on the amount of appointments we have on the particular day you are interested in. you must be 18 years old or older in order to get a tattoo at FX Inc.

For any piercing, government issued photo ID is required. Accepted ID  includes either a drivers/learner’s licence, passport, status card, or an Alberta identification card. 

Piercings can usually be done as walk-ins or you may book an appointment.

 It’s always best to have something to eat before getting a piercing or tattoo done.

The answer to this question is subject to personal opinion but at FX Inc we believe the best quality of body jewelry is implant grade. 

This may be American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F-138 certified implant grade stainless steel or ASTM F-136 certified implant grade titanium. 

These certified metals are the purest forms of body jewelry available on the market. Other piercing grade metals carried at FX Inc include Niobium; Known for its distinct Charcoal grey color.

The answer to this question depends on the piercing received. For most surface piercings the healing process may be aided by the use of a simple Saline spray. 

Rotation and movement of the jewelry for any piercing is strongly discouraged. For further instructions its best you refer to the after-care sheet provided to you.

We only tattoo individuals who are 18 years old or older. We do not tattoo under 18 even with parent/guardian consent. 

For genital piercings we only pierce individuals who are 18 years old or older.

The minimum age for most other piercings is 14 years old with parental consent but the age requirement varies depending on the piercing so it’s best to call and ask us. 

Any piercing done at FX Inc is always done with jewelry that is a longer length or larger diameter in order to accommodate for any swelling that your piercing may incur during the healing process.

It’s always best to downsize the post/barbell or switch to a smaller diameter hoop once the swelling has gone down sufficiently and the piercing seems to be healing well. 

The time frame in which to downsize your jewelry depends on the piercing received, the jewelry used, and how the piercing is healing. It’s always best to come back and have your piercer take a look at your piercing after about 6-8 weeks to make sure everything is going smoothly; at this time the piercer may suggest downsizing the jewelry used initially.

The short answer to this question is No. If you are under 16 and require parent/guardian consent the person signing on your behalf must be your parent or a legal guardian that can show proof of legal guardianship. 

It is also recommended that you bring any form of Government issued ID that you may have such as a health care card or birth certificate if you are under 16 years old and require parental consent.
